Part 1 - Cooking Prot's gill-t free fingers
Ingredients:
1 package of Prot's gill-t free fingers
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Instructions:
Wok/ Kadhai:
Step 1 - Preheat oil in kadhai/wok uptown 175 degree C.
Step 2 - Place the Fingers in oil and deep fry for 3 minutes or until golden brown.
Microwave/Oven:
Step 1 - Place the Fingers on a safe plate/baking sheet in a single layer. Brush with some oil.
Step 2 - Microwave on high power for 5-6 minutes or bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 12-15 minutes.
Part 2 - Making Tacos:
Ingredients:
8 small corn tortillas
1cup of shredded lettuce 1 cup of diced tomatoes
1/2 cup of chopped red onions 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro 1/4 cup of vegan mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of lime juice
1 tablespoon of hot sauce (optional) Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Step 1 - Warm the corn tortillas by heating them individually on a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side. Alternatively, you can wrap them in foil and warm them in the oven for a few minutes.
Step 2 - In a small bowl, combine the vegan mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce (if using). Stir well to incorporate the flavors. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3 - In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped red onions, and chopped cilantro. Toss the mixture to combine.
Step 4 - Take a warm tortilla and spread a spoonful of the vegan mayo sauce on one side. Place 2 to 3 Fish-less Fingers on top of the sauce.
Step 5 - Add a generous amount of the lettuce, tomato, onion, and cilantro mixture on top of the Fingers.
Note: You can customize these tacos by adding additional toppings such as avocado slices, vegan cheese, or salsa. Feel free to experiment and make it your own!
Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients. Serve the plant-based seafood tacos immediately and enjoy!
